Quick Vic Reporting is the software package chosen by the Victorian Government for the implementation of a new system of student reporting, based on the new Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS). Quick Vic Reporting allows both primary and secondary schools to comply with the Government’s reporting requirements for semester reports. Quick Vic Reporting uses a modular approach, being made up of separate components, accessed by different users. Ease-of-use is an important consideration in this, as is the need for flexibility. This approach means teachers need only access their own class files and work on entering their student assessments at school or at home, and the integrity of the database is preserved by restricting access to the Report Coordinator and technical personnel. The components of Quick Vic Reporting, their primary functions, and the interaction between them is displayed below.
